The Heaton Park Tramway are to celebrate the end of another season of operation with an addition to the special events calendar on Sunday 1st October – an End of Season Gala.
Whilst exact details of what will happen on the day have yet to be announced it is expected that the following will take place:
- Trams running between 1100 and 1600
- All five operational trams will take part at some point in the day
The five trams in the fleet at Heaton Park which are currently operational are Stockport 5, Hull 96, Blackpool 619, Blackpool 623 and Manchester 765.
We’ll bring you more details of what is happening when they are announced but judging by previous events of this type at the tramway it looks set to be great way to start another month and an end another season on the tramway.
This won’t actually be the end of the season either as they are also planning to operate on Saturday 21st October which will also be the last heritage bus link from the Greater Manchester Museum of Transport of the year.
