It has been quite some time since the performance statistics of the Manchester Metrolink network were posted online and then suddenly several months worth appears! The stats remain in the usual format, giving details of both the overall performance as well as on a line-by-line basis.
To give the stats for every single 4 week period would make this quite a number heavy and long article so we’ll just take a look at the latest period which runs from 23rd July to 19th August 2023 (all the documents for the past year are available at the link at the end of this article).
Overall
Punctuality – 89.9% (target 90%)
Reliability – 99.0% (target 99.4%)
Cancellations – 0.3% of all journeys
Short journeys – 0.7% of all journeys
Of the last eight periods, period 3 2023/24 (May/June) saw the worst figures with punctuality down at 87.5% and Reliability at 96.0%.
