In Pictures: Rosettes on Edinburgh Trams

Earlier this year we reported that Edinburgh Trams had won the Public Transport Operator of the Year category at the Scottish Transport Awards. Not content with taking home this award and mentioning it with a press release, they have started to add special rosettes to their tram fleet to shout it from the rooftops!

At the time it was announced that the judges had been impressed with the “Glide to the Future” campaign which had been used in run-up to the opening of the Newhaven extension. The award was made at a ceremony held in Glasgow in June.

Trams have been receiving blue rosettes over the past few weeks. They have been applied to both the front of the tram alongside the Edinburgh Trams logo as well as on the side of the trams which don’t have full vinyl wrap adverts.

252 shows off the rosette at this end of the tram.

This photo shows the positioning of one of the side rosettes.

More of the detail of the rosette showing that Edinburgh Trams are “Proud to be Public Transport Operator of the Year” and that they are “Scotland’s No. 1”. (All Photographs by John Hampton, 27th July 2023)

As the only public transport tramway in Scotland, there’s no competition.
