Last year Leo Messi was used as part of a Hard Rock Café promotion which included a full vinyl wrap advert on Manchester Metrolink (and two adverts in Edinburgh as well). And now the Argentinean footballing superstar is back on Metrolink as a new promotion for the new Messi Chicken Sandwich launches.
The tram chosen for this new advert is 3081 (last year it was 3102 which carried the vinyls) and once again it uses a very dark background with more images of Messi, although the all new Chicken Sandwich apparently doesn’t warrant a picture on the advert!
This becomes the fourth advert to have been carried on 3081: IKEA (May-December 2019), Starling Bank (July-August 2022) and #GetOnBoard (October-December 2022) being the previous adverts on the tram.
