We return to 1964 and Rome for the next edition of “Around the World in Trams”.
Taken in July 1964 at Porta Maggiore this photograph shows 8005 when working a line 14 service. This was part of the 8000 class of trams which were built in 1957/8 and were PCC type cars. The class was eventually withdrawn by 2003/4 although this particular tram ended its operating days in 2001.
