There has been plenty to celebrate for Edinburgh Trams over the past few weeks. Firstly, the long awaited extension to Newhaven opened and now they have won at the Scottish Transport Awards in the Public Transport Operator of the Year category.
The ceremony for the Scottish Transport Awards took place in Glasgow on Thursday 22nd June and that was when the firm discovered that they had won in this category. The judges were impressed with the “Glide to the Future” campaign which was launched ahead of the opening of the Newhaven extension to engage with the public about the new line.

Now that we have successfully launched services to Leith, Ocean Terminal, and Newhaven, we will continue to work towards making Edinburgh a much more prosperous, greener, and better-connected place to live, work or visit.”
