Since March 2022, Edinburgh Trams 258 has been carrying adverts for their own recruitment as they geared up towards the Trams to Newhaven extension opening. Now, with the line opening to the public and that recruitment having come to an end, it has received revised adverts and publicises the extension with the slogan “Faster – Better – Longer – Cleaner”.
Keeping a similar colour scheme the advert is green and blue and is encouraging people to catch the tram onto the new 3 mile extension. Along with the “Faster – Better – Longer – Cleaner” wording (with each word carried on one of the end section above window adverts along with further explanation of that benefit) its two full height sections still feature a map of the line and the “Glide to the Future” slogan.
This is just 258’s fourth different advert: CR Smith (September 2017-February 2021), John Lewis (May 2021-March 2022) and Edinburgh Trams recruitment (March 2022-June 2023).
Looking down the side of the tram with the two sections nearest to us stating that its “Cleaner” and “Better”.
The very centre of the tram just simply has the website address.
Then the other end includes the “Faster” and “Longer” wording.
One of the centre sections includes a map of the full system (as it did before).
