Planned output announced for next Blackpool Enhanced Weekend

The Spring Bank Holiday Weekend (Saturday 27th to Monday 29th May) sees the next Enhanced Weekend of operation for Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours. Originally billed as an “Event Weekend” this has now been changed to an “Enhanced Weekend” (although there isn’t much difference between the two except for more themed events which still take place on an Enhanced Weekend anyway) and will see five heritage trams in service on each day on the revised hop-on, hop-off timetable.

As well as the hop-on, hop-off timetable (first departure from North Pier & Tower at 0955 to Thornton Gate which is now the only trip terminating at Cleveleys or Thornton Gate on the timetable with the final tram back at North Pier & Tower at 1753) there will be evening tours on the Saturday and Monday. The evening tours will be the preserve of the illuminated trams with the Western Train on the Saturday and Frigate on Monday. The Saturday evening tour runs North Pier-Little Bispham-Pleasure Beach-North Pier and on Monday it will be North Pier-Fleetwood-North Pier.

The planned output (with all the usual caveats involved):

D – Bolton 66

  1. Michael Morton says:

One would have thought that, with the forecast superb weather, both boats would be used on each day. We always found that if you stick a boat out on the Promenade, it fills up regardless of where it is going.
Same old, same old rest of the fleet will, almost likely, run around with penny numbers on board. After all, the rest have been out so many times this year and getting dirtier each time!

  2. PAUL says:

Those are the timetabled cars… Leaves the second boat available to run as an extra as we saw last weekend (weather and crews permitting…)

    • Mike H says:

As Paul predicted, 600 came out as a very welcome extra for a few hours today.
(Do you have next week’s lottery numbers please)
