Nottingham Express Transit services had a disrupted start to the day on Wednesday 22nd February after a communications fault. It was announced around 0600 that there were no trams running at all due to a “significant issue” with this later confirmed as being a communications fault which prevented them from talking to drivers via the radio system.
During the morning things started to return to normality with 0700 seeing a limited service resume and then before 0800 a further update confirmed trams were running in most areas of the network but not a full frequency was operating. Finally, shortly before 0900, it was confirmed that a full service was running again.
In a statement on Twitter NET said: “We apologise for the inconvenience this morning caused by a communication fault which prevented us speaking to our drivers in their trams.”
During the disruption valid tram tickets were being accepted on board NCT Yellow, Orange and Navy lines.
