NET target Uni students to use the trams

Nottingham Express Transit have been attending Nottingham Trent University’s Wellbeing and Safety Fair to talk to students about the unique features that make the tram one of the safest ways to travel around the city. With a tramstop located at the University and student season tickets offering excellent value for money the tram is being marketed as an easy way to get around Nottingham.

Not only is it reliable and affordable but NET also prioritises the safety of its passengers and has unique features to ensure that everyone feels comfortable when travelling by tram – especially when alone or at night. These includes:

  • Well lit stations and platforms
  • HD CCTV cameras in all trams
  • Emergency help buttons at all stops and on all trams
  • The ability to contact a member of the team discreetly through WhatsApp

Alison Sweeney, NET Head of Marketing, said: “The safety of our customers is our top priority, and we pride ourselves on going over and above to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe when travelling by tram. Nottingham Trent’s Wellbeing and Safety Fair is an important event, so we’re pleased to be able to join and set out why the tram offers a safe and reliable transport option for everyone living, working, studying in the city and enjoying the great night life Nottingham has to offer.”
