Edinburgh Trams to run all night to allow people to pay their respects to the Queen

Edinburgh Trams have confirmed that they will be running a special all night service overnight on Monday 12th/Tuesday 13th September to allow those who wish to do so to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen’s body is due to lay at rest in St Giles Cathedral until Tuesday afternoon and with large numbers of people expected to pay their respects extra trams will run throughout the night.

Services will run as normal on Monday 12th September until 2330 after which a special 30 minute service will run through until the start of service on Tuesday 13th September. Trams will run all the way between Edinburgh Airport and St Andrew Square with normal fares to apply.
