In Pictures: Double adverts on Manchester Metrolink

More new adverts to report on, this time on Manchester Metrolink where two trams have received identical adverts for the same sponsor. The trams involved are 3081 and 3092 which are now both carrying vinyls for Starling Bank.

With Starling Bank one of the official partners of the Women’s Euro 2022 football championships – of which several matches are taking place in Manchester – the identical adverts are presumably supposed to look like a football with two tone green stripes to show where the “grass” has been cut! The adverts are a simple affair with the Starling Bank logo also featuring.

For 3081 this is its second advertising livery (following on from an ad for IKEA between June and December 2019) but this is the first ever full advert that 3092 has received – the 46th different M5000 to have now carried an advert.

3081 calls at St Peter’s Square with a service to Shaw & Crompton in its advert.

Also at St Peter’s Square we see 3092 showing off its Starling Bank ad. (Both Photographs by Roland Bull, 8th July 2022)
