In Pictures: Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend works in Sheffield

The extended Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend gave Stagecoach Supertram the ideal opportunity to undertake some further rail replacement works with the section along Infirmary Road being taken care of meaning that services on both the Blue and Yellow routes were affected throughout the weekend.

The works concentrated on the inbound line between Albert Terrace Road, Bedford Street and Montgomery Terrace Road. This included the line through the Infirmary Road tramstop and back down towards Shalesmoor.

During the works all trams which usually head to Malin Bridge (Blue route) or Middlewood (Yellow route) terminated short at Shalesmoor. Although there were no dedicated tram replacement buses, Supertram tickets were valid on local bus services.

The work was completed as planned with a full service able to resume from the start of service on Monday 6th June.
