Seaton Tramway’s Polar Express Tram Ride tickets set to go on sale

We may only just have had Easter but it looks like its already time to think about Christmas! (Well, it is only eight and a bit months until the big day we guess!) Tickets for the Seaton Tramway’s popular Polar Express Tram Ride will go on sale from Friday 22nd April at 1000, so it does seem its never too early to get ready for Christmas!

The Seaton Tramway have been running The Polar Express Tram Ride in the lead up to Christmas for several years with one of their enclosed single deck trams being decorated for the purpose as it takes people from Seaton on a two and half hour round trip to the North Pole (aka Colyton!) with Hot Chocolate and a cookie and the first gift of Christmas – the Silver Sleigh Bell – included in the cost of a ticket. Tickets start from £19.95.

Once you reach the North Pole you get to meet the elves with their elf show in the workshop and discover whether you have been naughty or nice at the naught detector. There will be freshly prepared hot food and drink including mulled wine. Then on the return trip there is the chance to sing along with Christmas carols.

The Polar Express Tram Ride will run on selected dates from 25th November until 24th December and tickets are expected to go quickly as capacity is limited on board the trams for these popular trips which are sure to get children (of all ages!) in the festive spirit ahead of the big day.

Four rates of tickets will be available depending on when the trip is – Super Off Peak, Off Peak, General and Peak. Full details on how to book your place are available on the Seaton Tramway website at https://www.tram.co.uk/events/view/the-polar-express-tram-ride.
