Around the World in Trams: Bern 18

Continuing our look at the varied trams in the collection at the Lucerne Transport Museum this is another instalment of “Around the World in Trams”.

Bern 18 is a 1894 built steam tram engine which ran on the Stadtische Verkehrsbetriebe Bern and remained in that city until 1959. It then became another exhibit for the Lucerne Transport Museum and is still in pride of place on display there. We see it here on 14th August 2009 with 26 from the same city for company.
