Thursday 31st March saw Manchester Metrolink’s latest M5000 enter service with 3137 carrying its first passengers. The tram was cleared for service the previous day and was used on the East Didsbury to Rochdale service on its first day.
3137 – which at the time of entry into service was the newest tram in Manchester – had been delivered on 5th March bringing the gap between arrival and entry into service back down to below a month again.
It won’t be the newest tram in the city for long though as 3138 is due to delivered on Saturday 2nd April.
