Out and About: Back to Edinburgh

In this latest edition of “Out and About” we are back in Edinburgh City Centre as we take a look at another of the trams carrying an advert at the time of photographing.

If you’ve ever arrived in Edinburgh at Waverley Station and then looked for the closest tramstop to continue your journey the chances are that you’ve headed to St Andrew Square and climbed up to catch the tram (just not at the moment!). This view of 277 shows just how steep that climb is as it heads down from South Saint Andrew Square and prepares to turn right into Princes Street.

This second view shows 277 turning into Princes Street.

And finally we see the tram again as it heads westbound on Princes Street. This image gives a good impression of the advert including one of the full height sections featuring an image of Alan Cumming. (All Photographs by Roy Calderwood, 13th January 2022)
