Our journey on Nottingham Express Transit as part of “Stop by Stop” now reaches the interesting single line loop through Hyson Green.
We’ll first take the outbound section of the loop and after we depart from The Forest we cross Gregory Boulevard and continue along Noel Street. The inbound loop comes in from the left but we continue up Noel Street – where there were many complaints in the early days of the tramway about the noise of the trams – and reach the stop of the same name at the back of Asda. As we are now on a single track section there just needs to be a single platform at the side of the track and that is what we have with all the usual pieces of furniture to be found.
