“Lockdown Walks” again heads to Sheffield today as we take a look at one of the Citylink tram-train vehicles in service.
There are seven Citylink vehicles in Sheffield with four originally ordered for the tram-train service between Sheffield and another three added to the order to provide extra capacity on the conventional tramway. Below we feature one of those which can currently only be used on the conventional tramway due to its wheel profiles – 399 205. This particular Citylink was delivered to Sheffield on 26th September 2016.
In this first photo we see 205 in lovely summery weather as it approaches the inbound Hillsborough Park stop with a Yellow route service for Meadowhall.
A quick turnaround and we see 205 again as it continues the approach to Hillsborough Park. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 17th July 2021)
