NET become 700th organisation in East Midlands to sign Armed Forces Covenant

Nottingham Express Transit have shown their commitment to being an Armed Forces friendly organisation by becoming the 700th organisation in the East Midlands to sign the Armed Forces Covenant.

With a number of veterans and reservists already working at NET, the signing of the covenant demonstrates their commitment to treat those who serve or who have served, and their families, with fairness and respect. It encourages organisations to develop a mutually beneficial relationship with the Armed Forces community and gives an opportunity to recognise publicly the value serving personnel, Regulars and Reserves, veterans and military families contribute to the country.

Paul Robinson, NET Director and General Manager, said: “Armed Forces personnel bring a wealth of transferable skills and experience to the network and the wider light rail sector, be that as veterans or Reservists. As well as marking our support for the Services, signing the Covenant is also a recognition of the contribution to the organisation made by the 18 veterans and Reservist that we currently employ.”
