Lockdown Walks: Stagecoach Supertram 111

Its time for another edition of “Lockdown Walks” with Sheffield again the location.

A recent addition to the route of Stagecoach Supertram around the Sheffield Station stop is the Granville Street Gallery. Its not a gallery in the traditional sense though as it is just art work located on the wall just by the entrance to Sheffield Railway Station alongside the tramway between Park Square Junction, Sheffield Station and Granville Road. Included amongst the art on the wall is a “Look Both Ways” piece reminding any passengers that there is a tramway in the vicinity and they should be careful before crossing the tracks.

In this image we see 111 leaving Sheffield Station for Malin Bridge on a Blue route service. The Granville Street Gallery is on the left with the “Look Both Ways” piece of art.

A close-up of the art. The entrance to the station is just on the left hand side. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 18th April 2021)
