The Polar Express Tram Ride returns to the Seaton Tramway!

When is it too early to mention Christmas? Hopefully not now as the Seaton Tramway have just announced details of the return of the Polar Express Tram Ride which will be running on selected dates between 28th November and 24th December. Having unfortunately had to be cancelled in 2020 this will be a return for this popular seasonal event which is bound to be fun for all the family in the lead up to Christmas.

Departing from Seaton, the Polar Express Tram Ride utilises one of the tramway’s enclosed single deck saloon trams which is specially decorated for the occasion as it takes the trip to the North Pole (aka Colyton!). Passengers are encouraged to travel in their favourite pyjamas while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate, a delicious treat and enjoying the awesome lights of the North Pole. Getting off at the North Pole you can meet the elves with their elf show in the workshop and discover whether you have been naughty or nice at the naughty detector. There will be freshly prepared hot food and drink including festive mulled wine and all passengers will get to meet Santa and receive “the first gift of Christmas” – A Silver Sleigh Bell. The return journey will see Christmas Carols being sung.

Only limited seats are available (currently only 50% capacity is available) so anyone who wants to go on this trip is advised to book as soon as possible – tickets will go on sale from 1000 on Saturday 29th May with tickets bookable either at https://www.tram.co.uk/ThePolarExpressSeaton or by phoning 01297 20375.

The Polar Express Tram Ride will run on selected dates from 28th November to 24th December with tickets starting at £27.95 for a 2 and a half hour experience. This includes the tram trip, Hot Chocolate and Cookie and the first gift of Christmas.
