Lockdown Walks: Stagecoach Supertram 125

There is a touch of snow around for today’s edition of “Lockdown Walks” as we are heading off to Sheffield.

Out of the tram systems in England it seems that Sheffield gets affected the most by snow with the city being a relatively high altitude and thus getting more snow falling. There are often reports of disruption to the trams, although in most cases it has nothing to do with the trams themselves but more cars and other vehicles getting stuck in the snow and blocking the tram lines.

With snow continuing to fall and plenty of it already on the ground this image at Hillsborough Park shows 125 with a service from Middlewood to Meadowhall on the Yellow route. (Photograph by Stuart Cooke, 14th January 2021)
