Sunday timetable re-introduced all week on NET

Nottingham Express Transit services will be running to the Sunday timetable seven days a week for the foreseeable future after a continued fall in passenger numbers since the latest round of government restrictions were introduced earlier this month.

The revised timetable was introduced from the start of service on Friday 22nd January (and announced the evening before) and will now see trams running at the below frequencies on each line:

0600-0900: Every 15 minutes

0900-1900: Every 10 minutes

1900-2300: Every 15 minutes

Although this will increase wait times for passengers during the day the service being offered on Nottingham Express Transit remains better than some systems normal service.

Mike Mabey, NET Head of Operations, said: “Since the tighter restrictions were introduced after Christmas we’ve again seen customer numbers fall to a fraction of pre-pandemic levels. At the same time, like many other organisations across the city, we have an increased number of employees correctly following NHS and government guidance on self-isolation. Clearly the safety of our customers and employees remains our overriding priority, with all our Covid-19 protection measures under constant review.”
