Another photo from a UK tramway during 2020 as our latest “Lockdown Walk” is heading to Malin Bridge in Sheffield.
Malin Bridge is at the end of a short branch of Supertram along Holme Road with a single platform provided for trams to arrive and depart from (indeed of the six terminus stops on Supertram only Meadowhall has more than one platform face). With a Park and Ride site on the opposite side of the road it gives good connections for travellers wanting to travel further into the city centre but don’t want the faff of driving all the way in and finding somewhere to park.
With autumnal colours appearing on the trees 110 stands at Malin Bridge having just arrived with a service from Halfway.
A little time later and 110 now leaves from Malin Bridge as it starts the lengthy journey to Halfway via Sheffield City Centre. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 18th October 2020)
