More Metrolink engineering works on the way

There will be engineering works on Manchester Metrolink on two Sundays in October which will see a change in services on both days. The first set of works (11th October) will affect trams through the City Centre with those on the second day (25th October) on the Eccles line.

Sunday 11th October

No trams will be able to run from the start of service until 1600 between Deansgate-Castlefield and Victoria/Piccadilly.

Trams from the Airport will terminate at Cornbrook

Trams from Altrincham will terminate at Deansgate-Castlefield

Trams from Ashton will terminate at Piccadilly

Trams from Bury will run to Ashton-under-Lyne

Trams from Eccles will terminate at Deansgate-Castlefield

Trams from Rochdale will terminate at Exchange Square

Trams from East Didsbury will terminate at Deansgate-Castlefield

Bus replacements will be in operation until 1600 after which services will resume through the city centre with trams from Bury running through to Ashton-under-Lyne and those from Ecccles at Deansgate-Castlefield.

Sunday 25th October

Improvement works are taking place at MediaCityUK with no trams running on the Eccles line all day.

Services from Ashton will run through to Bury with a  replacement bus service running every 15 minutes between Eccles and Piccadilly.
