Broken down tram causes central Croydon loop to be closed

London Tramlink suffered more problems during the afternoon of Saturday 3^rd March when 2540 failed at West Croydon causing the entire central Croydon loop to be suspended for several hours whilst the tram was dealt with. According to the official Transport for London website the service was suspended between Wandle Park and East Croydon and between East Croydon and West Croydon via George Street during the incident.
