Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 276

Another “Lockdown Walk” today in Edinburgh as we head to York Place for another image.

Of course, York Place is the current city centre terminus of Edinburgh Trams but hopefully by 2023 that will no longer be the case as the tramway will have been extended to Newhaven. In fact not only will York Place no longer be a terminus but it won’t exist as a stop with a new stop provided in nearby Picardy Place.

In this photo we see 276 at the stop. This tram is one of those to carry brightly coloured adverts for Parabola. Alongside at the bus stop is a bus on Lothian Buses route 11 to Ocean Terminal. The bus is an Alexander Dennis Enviro 400XLB which was delivered to Lothian Buses in March 2019, continuing the current vogue for exposed staircases. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 30th March 2020)
