The tram which “ran in 2019” today is a very regularly used tram at Crich – Blackpool Standard 40.
At the end of each year 40 is a tram which is usually towards the top of the mileage run and 2019 was again a well used year for the tram. For many non-enthusiasts a tram like 40 is what they think of as a tram with its traditional shape and double deck, not forgetting its open balcony too!
40 is seen in this first image having just arrived at Glory Mine early on 22nd September 2019.
Staying at Glory Mine and after 40 had turned in the headshunt it approaches the stop ready for any passengers to alight and board.
