Consistency continues on Tyne and Wear Metro

85% seems the percentage for the Tyne and Wear Metro as for the third four week period in a row that is the number of trains arriving on time across the network – which also happens to be the same number as this same period last year!

There isn’t a lot which can be said when the 85% appears all over the poster as you can’t comment on how things have improved/got worse as according to these stats it is completly consistent! As always a train is considered on time within three minutes later or within 30 second earlier than expected.

The poster also gives details of issues which affected punctuality with two events within three days of each other mentioned this time around. On 8th September there was crowd control for the Great North Run but it also says their plan worked well so presumably didn’t affect punctuality after all whilst on 11th September there was a train fault at Brockley Whins with the usual line about how much more they are investing in train maintenance to reduce the number of failures in the future.

The period under review this time is 18th August to 14th September 2019.
