In Pictures: West Midlands Metro signage starts to spread

Despite the fact that West Midlands Metro has been known as such since January 2018 with a new brand the signage at stops outside of Birmingham City Centre has remained in the old Midland Metro style but now a start has been made on extending the blue brand further north. So far stops between St Pauls and Handsworth Booth Street have been treated with further stops towards Wolverhampton St George’s set to follow in the forthcoming weeks and months. Scott Murphy has captured the following images for us.

The new brand is seen here on the tramstop sign at Jewellery Quarter.

The new style map also at Jewellery Quarter. This includes the forthcoming Birmingham Westside extension (greyed out). Some of the old Network West Midlands branding is also still in place here including the pink banner under the map and also on the right the platform 4 sign. (All Photographs by Scott Murphy)
