Another award win for the Midland Metro Alliance

There don’t seem to be many weeks which go by without some award ceremony or another and the latest in Birmingham has seen the Midland Metro Alliance recognised for their communications campaign to keep those living, working and visiting Birmingham during construction works on extending the network.

The award was given at the Institution of Civil Engineers West Midlands Awards at a special ceremony on Wednesday 22nd May. The Communications Award was collected by Antony Lowbridge-Ellis, Communications Manager, on behalf of the entire Engagement Team in recognition of the campaign to keep people informed of how to get around during the closure of Paradise Circus Queensway.

The judges praised the team for their “excellent use of multi-media channels to deliver messages to the public” and were also impressed with how much face-to-face engagement there was with local businesses and residents.

Alejandro Moreno, Midland Metro Alliance Director, said: “We understand that our projects moving into construction can cause some disruption but we’re delighted that our peers recognised the excellent work that our Engagement team and partners carried out last summer to communicate the closure of Paradise Circus Queensway.”
