Week-long closure on Tramlink for bridge works

London Tramlink services on the Beckenham Junction and Elmers End lines will be suspended between Saturday 16th and Sunday 24th February to allow for the start of work to replace a bridge over the tracks between the stops at Blackhorse Lane and Addiscombe. This will be the first of three closures of the line to allow this work to take place.

Replacement buses are due to run during this closure although exact details of which parts of the line will be affected have yet to be announced. The page on the TfL website only mentions the Beckenham Junction branch and yet the section of track which will need to be closed also carries trams heading to Elmers End so this will also have to be suspended. Whether a split service will be operate either side of the closure or if no trams will run to either terminus is as yet unknown.
