Heaton Park Tramway launch new website with first details of 2019

The Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester, which it shouldn’t be forgotten is the one true preserved tramway in the country, have marked the start of a new year with a brand new website which also contains the first details of special events for the year.

The new website can be found at a new address: http://www.hptramway.co.uk and contains all the information you will need if visiting the tramway including details on the main fleet of trams plus ways you can help the tramway achieve their aims.

Of interest is that the first events of 2019 have also been added to the website. It is confirmed that the 2019 season will commence on Sunday 17th February with normal operation between 1130 and 1700 with trams then running until around mid-November (based on previous years). Saturday operation will then get underway on Saturday 4th May and this will be a regular feature throughout the summer.

Three events have also been announced with the highlight of these looking likely to be Tramtastic 2019 which is set to take place on Sunday 7th July. Full details of this day will follow closer to the date but it is expected to include an enhanced tram service, photo line-ups and a procession of operational trams.

Other events also planned are Mothers Day TDE’s on Sunday 31st March (cost of £15) and on Sunday 7th April will be the Season Startup! Between 1100 and 1700. Again, more details of both of these will follow closer to the day.

You are always guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome at the Heaton Park Tramway so if you are ever in the area why not pop down for a tram ride through the Park!
