September Review – Isle of Man: No. 14 – Solo Motors

The normal many have of the Manx Electric Railway is of motor and trailer working together but it is also a fairly common occurrence during quieter periods for motors to run solo which also have the major advantage of speeding around turnarounds at termini with no running round required. Today we take a look at a few solo motors in action.

On 5th September we see 20 approaching Derby Castle.

19 is also seen at Derby Castle. This time the date is 6th September and 19 is operating on a special evening service.

Tunnel Car 6 climbs up from Derby Castle towards Port Jack with a service to Ramsey on 10th September. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
