Twin set 673+683 update

Late last year, British Trams Online published a news article on the departure of Twin
Set 673+683
from Blackpool. It may be recalled that 673 moved to temporary storage at Kirkham Prison in December 2011, whilst 683 transferred to outdoor storage in Fleetwood. This led to suggestions that the trams were owned by the Friends of Fleetwood Trams, however we have since been informed that this is not the case. In fact the trams remain in private ownership, and are merely on loan to the FoFT, who will hopefully display the Twin car set in their museum at Copse Road when this opens to the public.

We would like to apologise to the owner of 673+683 for any offence that this error may have caused, and thank him for confirming the situation regarding the ownership of the trams. British Trams Online always aims to report news with the highest level of accuracy possible, but as with all websites and magazines of this nature, inaccurate information may slip through the net occasionally, and if any reader ever believes one of our stories to be incorrect, please let us know. We aim to bring tram enthusiasts regular and accurate news, with 2012 promising to be an exciting year for this website as we approach our tenth
birthday – and your support will help us to achieve this.
