Disruption on Midland Metro after person hit by tram

A person has been found dead following reports they were hit by a tram at Trinity Road tramstop in the early hours of Saturday 2nd June. The incident is said to have happened shortly before 0500 and the British Transport Police confirmed that a person was pronounced dead at the scene. All trams were immediately suspended before a limited service was reintroduced from Wolverhampton St George’s to initially Black Lake and then West Bromwich Central. Services to Grand Central eventually resumed at approximately 1400.
