Once again we bring you an one-stop guide to all services being operated on the tram and light rail networks in the British Isles over the Christmas and New Year period 2017-18. There are no big changes in the services being offered with Blackpool still not seeing it necessary to offer services on Boxing Day or New Years Day whilst others provide an extensive service throughout the period. Blackpool Tramway
Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Normal service with last tram from Starr Gate at 2015 and from Fleetwood Ferry at 2115
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE
Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) – NO SERVICE
Wednesday 27th to Saturday 30th December – Normal service
Sunday 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Normal service with last tram from Starr Gate at 2015 and from Fleetwood Ferry at 2115
Monday 1st January 2018 (New Year’s Day) – NO SERVICE
Docklands Light Railway
Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Normal weekend service with earlier finish.
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE
Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) – Reduced service running every 5-10 minutes
Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th December – Normal weekend service
Saturday 30th December – Normal Saturday service
Sunday 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Normal Sunday service until 0030 and then a service throughout the night until 1000 on New Year’s Day. Between 2345 and 0430 travel will be free. The overnight service will run between Bank and Lewisham, Stratford and Canary Wharf, Tower Gateway and Beckton, Bank and Woolwich Arsenal, Stratford International and Canning Town
Monday 1st January 2018 (New Year’s Day) – Overnight service until 1000 then weekend service
Edinburgh Trams
Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Weekend service until 2100. Last full route tram from York Place to Edinburgh Airport at 2138, last full route tram from Edinburgh Airport to York Place at 2105. Later departures from Edinburgh Airport will terminate at Gogoarburn.
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE
Tuesday 26th (Boxing Day) to Friday 29th December – Normal weekday service
Saturday 30th December – Normal weekend service until 1800 when trams will stop running between Edinburgh Airport and West End Princes Street. The last full route service from Edinburgh Airport to York Place will depart at 1710 and from York Place to Edinburgh Airport at 1752.
Sunday 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Normal weekend service between Edinburgh Airport and West End Princes Street only. Between midnight and 0500 free night trams will run every 20 minutes.
Monday 1st January 2018 (New Year’s Day) – Normal weekday service with trams running full route to York Place from 0930. The first full route service from Edinburgh Airport to York Place will depart at 0933 and from York Place to Edinburgh Airport at 1014.
London Tramlink
Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Normal Sunday service with less frequent service after 1800
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE
Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) – Amended Sunday service
Wednesday 27th December to Saturday 30th December – Amended Saturday service
Sunday 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Normal Sunday service throughout day. Between 2345 and 0430 on New Year’s Day trams will run and will be free. Trams will run every 30 minutes overnight between Wimbledon and Beckenham Junction and from Wimbledon to New Addington.

Luas
Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Last tram at 2000
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE

Manchester Metrolink
Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Normal Sunday service with last trams departing the City at approximately 2100
Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE
Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) – Sunday service with extra services for Manchester United match
Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th December – Normal weekday service
Saturday 30th December – Normal Saturday service
Sunday 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Saturday service with later trams. Services will stop running via 2CC from 2200 and run via Market Street. Last trams leaving Manchester City Centre at approximately 0100
