Picture in Time: Docklands Light Railway 87

The Docklands Light Railway is the subject of the latest instalment of Picture in Time as we head back to 2009 for another photo.

We are at West India Quay in this image as Class B92 87 leads a double unit with a service off the Bank Gateway line bound for Canary Wharf and then Lewisham on 9th May 2009. 87 was one of the later members of the B92 class to be built by BN Construction in Brugge, Belgium in 1995 (the class as a whole was built between 1992 and 1995) and at the time was part of the largest class of trains built for the Docklands Light Railway. Originally delivered in the basic DLR livery of blue and red by the time it was caught on camera at West India Quay it had received the more modern house colours.
