The start of the 2026 season at the Crich Tramway Village is less than a month away and as preparations continue the special events for the coming year have also been announced.
For enthusiasts the first check of the calendar is always when Tram Weekend is and this again is set to be held over the weekend in mid-September. The website currently gives this as Sunday 13th to Monday 14th September but presumably that is a small error and it will actually be Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. Expect the usual during that event with an intensive tram service, static tram displays and much more.
A recent addition to the calendar is back for 2026 as well with Tramlight (a premium event) happening on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November. This sees trams running after dark with special and magical lighting transforming the museum to end the season.
Other highlights will include Seaside Fun (23rd to 29th May). Past Times – Homefront (Saturday 20th June), Classic Motorcycle Day (Sunday 5th July), and the Model Tram and Railway Exhibition (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August).
