Picture in Time: Stagecoach Supertram

For today’s edition of Picture in Time we are off to South Yorkshire for a photo taken on the Stagecoach Supertram system in 2000 during some adverse weather conditions.

This photo was taken at the University of Sheffield tramstop on the Blue and Yellow lines and shows two of the Siemens constructed trams passing during a snow flurry. On the left just departing from the stop is a tram which is running on the Blue route with a service for Halfway via the city centre whilst approaching the stop is a Yellow route tram to Middlewood. Both trams are carrying the original Stagecoach livery without the dark blue skirt.
