In Pictures: Return of the Douglas Horse Tramway

A couple of days ago we belatedly reported on the return of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway for 2016 and now with thanks to the Friends of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway we can bring you a pictorial update of their return.

Cars No.44 and No.45 at Derby Castle (Strathallan) before the start of services on 30th April. Both trams were in use throughout the day.

Douglas was chosen to operate the first service of the Isle of Man Railways era.

Keith and No.44 at Derby Castle having just arrived with a lunchtime service from Loch Promenade.Since the start of operations under Isle of Man Railways, tramway timetables are now displayed in all bus shelters along the Promenades.
