Stadler 2560 enters service

Just a few days after playing a starring role in the launch of the new platform at Wimbledon Stadler Variobahn 2560 has become the 31st tram to carry passengers on the London Tramlink network.

2560 entered service on the afternoon of Friday 6th November operating on the line 1 and 4 Elmers End circuit. The tram had received a new livery ahead of its starring role during the launch with vinyls added at one end to suggest that it is a new tram being unwrapped for Croydon.

The other two new Stadler Variobahns which have also arrived in Croydon continue to undergo commissioning. In addition 2563’s arrival is awaited from Germany along with the return of 2556 which was returned to the continent for repairs.
