Enhanced peak time service coming on NET

Nottingham Express Transit are to introduce a new timetable from Monday 16th March which will see extra services running during the morning peak. The new timetable will feature trams running every seven-ten minutes from Hucknall and Phoenix Park which will mean the core section of the network between Highbury Vale and Station Street will see trams every three to five minutes.

The new enhanced service will run between 0700 and 1000 Mondays to Fridays from Hucknall and Phoenix Park to Station Street after which the normal service frequency of every 10 minutes will resume. Oddly the enhanced frequency only seems to exist into the city centre with departures from Station Street remaining every 5 minutes (alternate departures for Hucknall and Phoenix Park) throughout the day. Saturday and Sundays remain at the same service level as now.

Jamie Swift, NET Marketing Manager, said: “The introduction of the new timetable is the latest example of many improvements that are being made on the network in the run-up to the extension of services to Chilwell and Clifton. Five of the 22 new Citadis trams, destined for the expanded network, are already in operation on Line One and are proving popular with customers, as well as enabling us to deliver more services when they are most needed.”

  1. Daniel says:

The issue about the enhanced frequency only being southbound was an error on the originally published timetable. It has now been corrected on the pdf on the website.
