In Pictures: Urbos 3 27 enters service on Midland Metro

The day when a full Midland Metro weekday service is operated by the new Urbos 3 trams can’t be far off as there are now 10 of the class available for passenger service following the entry into service of 27 on Monday 2nd February. 27 was used from the start of service until shortly before 1500 when it retired to depot and was replaced by T69 04 for the remainder of the day. 33 also saw further testing on the same day.

  1. Andy Coward says:

From conversations I have had, a full Urbos 3 service has already been operated – but only on a Sunday, taking place on Sunday 25 January. Only six trams are required for service on a Sunday, but I agree the time when a full Urbos weekday service happens must be getting nearer.
