Tribute to the Midland Metro T69s book to be produced

Earlier this year one of the best UK light rail books produced was released with Superb: A Tribute to the Manchester Metrolink T68 & T68A Light Rail Vehicles released. Now one of the authors of that book, and regular British Trams Online contributor, Andrew Coward is turning his attention to the Midland Metro T69s and is looking for anyone who wishes to contribute photos, recollections and memories of the vehicles for use within the book.

After the publication of “Superb” Andrew was contacted by several people requesting a book on the T69s and he has decided to go-ahead with the project to give a lasting tribute to the original LRVs on Midland Metro which although flawed have given 15 years loyal service to the line between Birmingham Snow Hill and Wolverhampton St Georges.

As with “Superb” the book will be self-published and any profits will be donated to MacMillan Nurses. Anyone who contributes material which is used in the book will receive a complimentary copy of the book as soon as it is published.

If you have any photos or memories you wish to contribute towards the book please email Andrew at AndrewmcowardATaol.com (replace AT with @ when sending emails). Anyone who wishes to assist is urged to contact Andrew as soon as possible as work on pages is progressing well and the aim is that it will be released during the first half of 2015.
