In Pictures: The old, the new and the waiting to (re-)enter service on Metrolink

We take a brief look at newly entered LRVs into service, those waiting to enter service (or in the case of 3013 re-enter) and those which are destined for other things but not to carry passengers as we have a brief round-up of Manchester Metrolink. Featured in these photos are T68 1003 and M5000s 3013, 3085 and 3086. Photos by Steve Kemp.

Still powered up following its recent move across Manchester, 1003 waits for further transport at Queens Road.

It is now 18 months since 3013 last ran in passenger service and preparations continue for it to return to service.

The latest M5000 to enter service is 3085. Note the advertising vinyls added to the windows for Here's One We Made Earlier, an exhibition at the Lowry on BBC Children's television.

The newest M5000 in Manchester is 3086 and this remains at Queens Road undergoing commissioning and mileage accumulation. (All Photos: Steve Kemp)
