Kangaroo tickets jump up

Kangaroo tickets – which are valid for travel around Nottingham including on Nottingham Express Transit – are to increase in price from Sunday 31st August 2014 following a fare review. The price of these tickets are reviewed twice a year and are directly linked to commercial fares in the scheme area.

From 31st August an adult day ticket will increase to £4.50 (previously £4.20) with season tickets also increasing from this date. This means a 12 month ticket will now be £540 (was £504) and a 1 month version costing £72 (was £67). A full list of the new prices can be found at http://www.kangaroo.co.uk/?TRAVEL_COSTS.

From the same date the Kangaroo scratch cards will no longer be valid as they will have been upgraded to the new smart cards. Anyone still in possession of a scratch card at this date are advised they will be able to exchange them for a smart card at no charge at the Broadmarsh Travel Centre.

Unless it’s been repaired since approx 2pm on Friday 8th , the ticket machine at the Cinderhill stop will not issue tickets for child kangaroos .
Its been like this for at least a week and has been reported twice already .
