Latest LRSSB podcast out now!

The latest podcast from the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board (LRSSB) is highlighting how professionals from across the light rail sector are working together to share best practice and strengthen a sector-wide approach to tramway safety.

The “Let’s Talk Light Rail” podcast has been running for over a year now and in this release, LRSSB Marketing and Communications Manager, Carly Swift is joined by Connor Hardy, QHESE Manager from NET, and Josh Keeling, Safety Manager South Yorkshire Supertram, to discuss the work of the Heads of Safety group.

Mark Ashmore, the LRSSB’s Head of Safety and Assurance, also joins in with the discussion to provide insights into the group’s history and how it is helping shape the organisation’s work.

During the chat, Josh and Connor stress the vital role of the group in helping them to forge close working relationships with colleagues from across the sector and how it is helping them to draw on the experience of other tram networks to overcome their own challenges. They all share ideas on some of the best ways to spread important safety messages among front-line staff and members of the public.
