11 up at the top of the August mileage charts at Seaton

Another month has ended and another newsletter from the Seaton Tramway has given us the mileage figures for the trams on the 3-mile line to Colyton. August is the peak holiday month with additional services running when required and so its no surprise that it was dominated by the highest capacity trams, aided no doubt by the nice weather experienced!

The top three for 2025 are all of the newest purpose built double deckers – 11 ran 906 miles, 9 was at 900 miles and 10 managed 876 miles. Then if you look at the other end of the charts you can see that its enclosed single deck saloons which ran the least – 19 did 42 miles, 15 ran 72 miles and 16 operated 96 miles.

August may now be over but the Seaton Tramway remains open every single day until Sunday 2nd November. The blue timetable will run until Sunday 28th September which sees trams every 20 minutes between 1000 and 1700.
